I got your swag!

Has everyone heard of Swagbucks? You can earn bucks for searches you do when you're logged into your account (I usually earn a buck after every 3 or 4 searches). After you earn so many points, you earn prizes. Right now, I have 42 swagbucks (from probably a month of moderate use). I could get a $25 e-gift card from restaurants.com or save up for Season 5 of House (60 swagbucks). You can make your default search in Chrome or Firefox Swagbucks so you don't even have to think about where to go to earn the swag ;)

Loving Etsy right now. Lawrence is having an Arts Fest a week from Sunday and I plan to officially kick of the Christmas gift purchasing season, including visiting Hmmm... by Melanie who lives in Lawrence and makes FABULOUS purses! (Excited to do this so soon as previous years I've waited until I've been done with classes...ie TWO weeks before Christmas. Stresses. Me. Out.)
Then, I fully plan to go crazy with the online shopping. As much as I love Target, I am on a mission to find more unique gifts. I was thinking about splurging on some fabulous handpainted glasses by marywibis for my mom and sister; then I remembered that any given weekend that I am home, they break, on average, two glasses. Each.

Just a teeny splurge

So, I got paid today. And even though I have many bills to pay, I'm anticipating my tax refund soon, so I splurged. Just a bit, just a teeny bit. It wasn't even a BIG splurge, I went to TJ Maxx! I had been reading about great J.Crew products at TJ Maxx and decided it had been far too long since I had gone on a real bargain hunt.
AND I found a couple of great things! I found these Vera Bradley note cards which are pretty fun. I also bought a super cute pair of loafers/moccasins by Me Too. I CANNOT for the life of me find them online but they're kind of a rich honey brown suede with two gold loops as a type of buckle. I'm kind of in love with them right now and am super excited about my solid investment. Even if they WERE purchased at TJ Maxx.
